Hugh McCoy

Bro. Hugh McCoy, Sr. and Mrs. Gracie make their home in Hampton, Georgia. Bro. McCoy serves on staff and assist in the mission endeavors of Peoples Baptist Church.

Bro. McCoy's pastoral experience is invaluable.  He served as pastor of Community Grove Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia for 14 years.  He then moved to central South Carolina where he pastored for two years.  It was then that God began laying upon his heart the burden to start a church in the western part of the state.  Bro McCoy moved his family and started University Baptist Church in Clemson, South Carolina.  He served seven years as their pastor before returning to Georgia.

Bro. McCoy has been involved in missions for 27 years.  He supplies nationals with training material and tracts.  Many of the tracts target specific issues or people groups in order that they might have a clear understanding of scripture. 

The most valuable role that Bro. McCoy plays is our pastor's hero and father.  We are grateful for the spiritual heritage and leadership he instilled in his son.  As a church we are reaping the benefits of his faithfulness.
