What type of worship services do you have?

Peoples Baptist Church is a conservative, Independent Baptist Church founded on the principles of God’s Word. Our services could be described as “traditional,” though not at all stiff and formal. We are dedicated to building families and communities that live to honor Christ, and believe that this is accomplished through sound Biblical teaching in an atmosphere of celebration and joy.

What Bible do you use for church-wide study and preaching?

We use the King James Bible exclusively here at Peoples Baptist Church.  While other churches may be moving toward "paraphrases" or other translations, we stand firm on our conviction that the King James Bible is the correct Bible for English speaking people.

Do you have a music program I can participate in?

God’s Word speaks often about singing praises to Him. At Peoples Baptist Church you will find Christ-honoring music. We offer opportunities for service in our orchestra and choir. Both meet at 4:30 on Sunday afternoons. We love inspiring, God honoring music and are blessed with many of the finest musicians and singers in our area.

Who is the pastor of Peoples Baptist Church?

Our pastor is Dr. David A. McCoy.  He has been involved in the ministry here at Peoples Baptist Church for over 27 years.  Under Pastor McCoy's leadership, Peoples Baptist Academy was founded. The property at Mt. Zion in Morrow was soon sold, and new church and school facilities were built on their 117-acre site in McDonough, Georgia.

Pastor McCoy has been married to his wife, Trish, since June 1982. Dr. McCoy is widely known among Independent Baptists and is a much sought-after speaker. He has a phenomenal vision for the future of Peoples Baptist Church.

Is there a nursery provided for the services?

Yes, we do provide a nursery for our regular worship services, Sunday School and special meetings throughout the year.  Mrs. Melanie Meeks is the Director of our nursery and has a fine qualified staff that works with her.  If you need detailed information regarding our nursery you may either contact the church at 770-914-7388.
