A Warm Welcome
From the time you walk into Peoples Baptist Church, you will find a warm welcome. Visitors often comment that they can sense a difference when they pull onto the parking lot. Known as the friendliest church in Atlanta, we have taken our reputation to heart. It is our goal to make you feel welcome enough that you will want to return.
A Friendly Hospitality Team
As you step inside the door, you will be greeted by one of our ushers or someone from our hospitality team who will be happy to assist you in locating the restroom, finding a friend, or locating a Sunday School class or a seat in the auditorium.
A Loving Children’s Ministry
Nursery care is free and is available for every church service for children three and under. During the Sunday morning service, children ages 4 to 10 usually attend children’s church where they learn about God and sing songs appropriate for their age level.
Just South of Atlanta
Peoples Baptist Church is located approximately 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta just off I-75.
In McDonough, Georgia
McDonough, Georgia is part of Henry County, named after Patrick Henry. Rich in tradition, our town, especially around the square, resonates with history. Many old buildings have recently been restored, offering our community a true sense of belonging.
Between Exits 218 and 221
From downtown, exit 221 in the far right lane. Proceed to the first light and turn left onto Mill Road. The church is located two miles on the right.
Sunday Mornings
There is nothing quite like the feel of Sunday morning worship at Peoples Baptist Church. Our Sunday morning services are preceded by the Sunday School hour which begins at 9:30. Then at 10:30, our full choir and orchestra begin the service with a beautiful song, followed by a welcome from our pastor. All services are traditional with hymns of the faith and a Bible message.
Sunday Evenings
People often comment that Sunday evenings feel like family time at PBC. After a wonderful day of worship and rest, we meet at 6:00 to enjoy the blessings of the Lord and spend time in the Word before facing another week of work.
Wednesday Nights
There is nothing better than a mid-week service to reconnect with a Bible study led by our pastor. It is a sure way to gain strength and experience steady spiritual growth. Our Wednesday evening Bible studies start at 6:30, and there is an excited anticipation as we gather together desiring the Lord to speak to our hearts.
Special Services
Visit our website often to stay informed of special services and upcoming events. Childcare for children ages three and under is available for all services.
Each year, we plan special services (State of the Church Address, Baby Day, Grandparents’ Day, Graduation Sunday, Friend Day), enjoy an old-fashioned Camp Meeting under the tent, meet for special Thanksgiving and Christmas services, perform in a beautiful Christmas Cantata, and much more. We would love to have you join us!
A Place to Call Home
If you grew up in a Christian home with parents who attended church regularly, you know the sensation of the familiar. With traditional values and church “the way it has always been,” you will feel as if you have come home. It’s a good feeling.
A Place to Make Friends
Church is for worship, no doubt about that. It is also a place to make friends—not just any friends, but friends who share the same faith and hold the same values. Since friends play a vital role in the direction we take in life, Peoples Baptist Church is a good place to start.
A Place to Be Refreshed
Have you ever left a service and thought, “That was just what I needed”? It happens often. God speaks to the man of God what our hearts need to hear. Sometimes it brings necessary conviction, and equally often it brings much-needed encouragement. PBC provides a hub for you and your family to be refreshed.
