With a young-at-heart director, our Prime-Timers enjoy monthly fellowships. Each fall, they take a road trip to Apple Country, and each December they deliver gifts to shut-ins. Many of their get-togethers are around the table, and the fellowship is always as good as the food. An annual grandparents’ weekend affords them the opportunity to bring favorite pictures of their grandchildren and brag a bit, followed by a grandparents’ parade, open to all ages, on the following Sunday.
The Prime-Timer's Ministry at Peoples Baptist Church is designed to provide spiritual growth opportunities and fellowship opportunities for individuals who are 55+ and who are still young at heart.
We believe you never retire from God's work. God sees senior adults as mature servants who have much to contribute to His kingdom's work--still active in His service and growing more in His likeness. Life in the senior years can be quite challenging, and yet exciting, as you continue actively serving the Lord and sharing your experiences with others. Our goal as we share the love of Jesus Christ with older members and friends is to bring seniors to a personal relationship with Christ and help them grow to be like Him.
